About C. L. Whelan
“The 2 most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.”
-Mark Twain
Hiya all you lightworkers! It’s time! It’s time to do what you came to do. It’s time to find out why you are here. Right here. Right now.
Figure it out, then break it down. If you are supposed to be a counsellor, what kind of counsellor? And what style and approaches are you to use? What are the lessons you are meant to share, role model and teach?
There are many ways lightworkers can get their work done. There is, however, one tool lately that seems to be present in each area – using the written word.
I hear the echoes over and over. There is an urgent calling; a pressure to allow a flow. I feel that at least most, if not all lightworkers have the ability to create some form of written message, whether it be through composing a novel, short story, song, poem, journaling entry, email or even, yes, a facebook status update.
I believe we are all conduits. And the universe is calling on us to open up to the high vibrations and allow ourselves to be used as channels to communicate the higher insights.
Most of us can do this verbally, but for many I don’t think that the reach is too deep. As we stand in front of others and speak, we are also aware of how we look, sound, present. Judgment. This does not allow the energies to flow.
Sitting alone in silence or with very carefully selected background music, getting into a good place, and just letting it flow from the mind, down the arm, to the hand, and to the paper. Alone and focused. It’s all about motivation and inspiration; going with what makes it happen.
Right now I’m sitting outside in about 22 degrees celcius in the shade and perfect breeze. Lenny Kravitz is in the CD player. And I’m so excited to get out to you, this gathering of the first 30 months’ of flow. Lightworker's Way.
I was asked by Kathy Upper to write a column for her newsletter, for what I considered the online hub of the Niagara Region’s fast-growing, holistic and spiritual community, Spiritual Niagara. My first article was published June, 2010.
To be honest, I had no idea that I’d be still writing this column 4 years later, however I am honoured and proud of the accomplishment and continued involvement in Kathy’s growing baby, the Spiritual Niagara website, newsletter and abundance of goodies within.
I believe the idea to compile the years of articles into a book, later expanding into 2 ebooks, was given by spirit, or at least my higher self. It was just……there it was! And I tingled all over. Yesss….
I shared the idea with my cousin Moss in Vancouver, who is an author and teacher of creative writing himself. He loved the idea and became my sole source of inspiration and guidance. Bless his beautiful and patient heart.
What I have found I’ve written about is a combination of what I’ve learned through formal education (one of the first things I learned in Social Services was to always back up one’s stuff with previously-proven facts), life experience, and treasured insight from others’ shared stories I am thankfully given each day in the work that I do as a counsellor, intuitive reader and workshop / group facilitator of over 20 years.
So please... enjoy my journey. I am honoured to share it with you.
I think I’ll finish up here by inserting what cousin Moss has written as the compilation’s description. It just gives me the warm and fuzzies.
“C. L. Whelan takes the reader on a 30-day journey within the self. From birth to death, and reincarnation, these 30 articles span the globe, and touch upon many faiths and practices. The reader will be stronger in their self, their belief, and in their outlook on life. Originally from the pages of Spiritual Niagara’s column, Lightworker's Way is your guide to enlightenment.” - -Moss Whelan

I am a "practicing lightworker".
My main mission in life is to inspire, motivate and remind individuals of their powers within. This is my passion. Someone once said, I am an illuminator. I shine a light on whatever needs to be uncovered at the moment. Verbally and in written form, I work towards encouraging others to be true to themselves and recognizing that we are all in a time of getting rid of the old, to make room for the new.
It's life altering stuff.
